American Council for Southern Asian Art Symposium XIX
November 6-9, 2019
Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh with Partners
ACSAA symposia occur in alternating years, and serve as opportunities to meet colleagues, reconnect with mentors and graduate school cohorts, and share one’s current research with the field.
From senior scholars to graduate students, ACSAA symposia are one of the primary ways ACSAA members gather and support one another, share ideas in collegial environment, and participate in the ACSAA community. To learn more about ACSAA, its current board members and its activities click here.
The School of the History of Art at the Edinburgh College of Art will host the next American Council for Southern Asian Arts Symposium from November 6-9, 2019. This is the first time the symposium will take place outside North America. We look forward to welcoming our colleagues across the Atlantic and also extend a warm invitation to our UK and Europe-based colleagues to join us this autumn.
We envisage a presence of publishing presses at this event. We also invite representatives from auction houses and galleries to join us. Please write to us at acsaa2019@gmail.com for more information.
Join us to celebrate Edinburgh’s historic links with South Asian and South East Asian Art through special collections of the University Library and the holdings of the National Museums of Scotland and National Galleries of Scotland and other institutions across Edinburgh.
